Two Grande Randonnée paths go through the region!

The famous path of Santiago de Compostela through the Genevois with the stage from Geneva to Frangy. Departing from the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre of Geneva, your route will take you across the Swiss border and you will enter the region of Saint-Julien and the Genevois. You will then be 1,854 kilometres from Santiago de Compostela.


The GR Balcon du Léman path: As its name indicates it travels around Lake Geneva. From Le Salève and Le Vuache the view is stunning over the lake and the Genevois Haut-Savoyard!

The Mountains of Geneva

At the heart of Greater Geneva, in Haute-Savoie, the Mountains of Geneva include several mountain ranges: le Salève, le Vuache and the Voirons as the rivers of the Arve and the Foron.

Le Saleve

Birthplace of rock climbing, paradise of sportspeple and a playground for all. This mountain is ideal for an introduction to sporting activities: Hiking, paragliding, rock climbing, cross-county and piste skiing!

Le Vuache

Bordering the region to the west, the highest peak of this mountain range is at 1106m. Its diverse range of animals (migratory birds) and plants makes it a protected and privileged natural space !

La via rhona

This famouscycling route departs from Geneva and spends one stage in the Genevois settings. 33km to Vulbens with a mix of flourishing nature and picturesque villages. Eventually, the route, itself a cycling destination, will join Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean. 

Le chemin du Soleil

Unique cycling route linking Lake Geneva and the Mediterranean. With a view of Mont-Blanc the cycling route passes through the outskirts of Le Saleve, in a rural settings.
